Call for Autistic Self-Advocates

CASDA is looking for Autistic self-advocates to help plan the 2021 Canadian Autism Leadership Summit by joining the Lived Experience Subcommittee. The subcommittee will meet regularly (likely biweekly between May and September) to guide the planning and participation for those with lived autism experience in #CALS2021 which will be held in October.

This committee is a great opportunity for Autistics who would like to have a voice in the Summit planning and make sure it is Autistic-friendly. Getting involved will ensure that the event will be designed with Autistic self-advocates, and not just for Autistics.

Subcommittee members will:

  • Guide the drafting of the Call for Proposals before it is distributed¬†
  • Review proposals/submissions to curate content for the Summit
  • Provide direction and suggestions regarding regional watch parties to create inclusive engagement

Subcommittee members will receive free registration at the 2021 Leadership Summit, should they wish to attend.
