Position title: Research Coordinator
Hours/Week: 10 (part-time)
Reporting to: Director of Scientific and Data Initiatives
Office Location: Remote in Canada
Languages: English (French a strong asset)
The purpose of this position is to coordinate a national data asset mapping project, comprising research and administrative data sets. The research coordinator will also provide ongoing support for CASDA’s Scientific and Data Initiatives, including: writing final reports, research grants and study proposals. In addition, this position will engage closely with a wide range of community and government stakeholders on administrative data studies, policy scans, and environmental scans.
You are able to work independently, are extremely detail-oriented, and see projects to completion with minimal support. You have excellent communication skills and are resourceful, extremely organized and adaptable. You thrive in a team-based environment that is constantly evolving and which offers a variety of day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. You are proactive and able to identify grant opportunities, keeping up to date with advancements in research and policy development. You have well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop content sharing networks with a wide range of stakeholders, including national colleagues. You will collaborate with research colleagues to create and edit documents and online pieces that can be disseminated to a wider audience.
Ideally, you are currently pursuing or have completed graduate training (M.Sc. or Ph.D). You have strong scientific writing skills and the ability to produce academic and non-academic (stakeholder) reports in both scientific and lay languages.
