Meet with #CALS2022 attendees in-person at a location near you!

On April 4-5th, 2022, the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorder Alliance (CASDA) is hosting the 8th Annual Canadian Autism Leadership Summit.

This year, we are offering CALS2022 attendees the unique opportunity to attend a locally run, smaller-scale in-person event in their region, in a safe and comfortable setting, following provincial restrictions. This hands-on experience is the perfect opportunity for attendees wishing to meet other conference attendees in-person, have live discussions, while staying connected with the remote conference experience.

What is a satellite-event?

A satellite event is a locally run, smaller-scale in-person event hosted in regions across Canada for attendees to gather and participate in CALS2022 together, in person. The goal of this is to allow participants to connect with others near their home. With a successful run of this pilot initiative, we are hoping to pave a way to remove barriers to participating in CALS as we would consider incorporating local watch parties into future in person editions of the Summit. A win-win for everyone!

What if our region still has restrictions for in-person gatherings in April?

Please follow the public health guidelines in your region. If attending an in-person event is not possible due to restrictions in your province, attendees can easily pivot to a virtual conference experience, from the comfort of their homes. It is the responsibility of attendees and organizers to check and adhere to provincial guidelines before attending/hosting an in-person satellite event. Final planning details will be available closer to date, to ensure that all public health guidelines in your region.
